General information, scheduling, billing:
Live help is available during office hours by calling 919-636-5240 option #1. If you are calling after hours with a routine question, follow prompts to leave a message. If you are difficult to reach, please inform us of some times you will be available. Do not leave phone numbers for us to return your call if you would not want us to identify ourselves to someone who answered the phone (family member, roommate, etc.)
Non-urgent clinical issues:
If you are are current patient at CPCH, you can either speak with administrative staff M-F 9-5 (919-636-5240 option #1) or you can leave a non-urgent voicemail on your doctors confidential voicemail (919-636-5240 option #2, follow prompts to be forwarded to your doctor’s voicemail). If you are a new patient at CPCH, please call administrative staff at 919-636-5240 option #1 to schedule an appointment with one of our doctors.
Urgent clinical issues:
If you are a current patient at CPCH, you have 24/7 access to your doctor’s urgent phone line (919-636-5240 option #3, follow prompts to be forwarded to your doctor’s cell phone). If you are not a current patient and would like to schedule an urgent intake appointment, please call administrative staff at 919-636-5240 option #1.
If you are unable to reach us and feel that you can’t wait for us to return your call, you may:
- contact another mental health professional if you have one (psychotherapist, etc)
- contact your primary care doctor
- call the Hopeline at 919-231-4525
- go to the nearest emergency room and ask for the psychologist/psychiatrist on call
- in the event of a life-threatening emergency call 911
You may also reach us via email, firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be aware, though, that email is not a secure form of communication, and we cannot protect against the possibility that information you send over email might be intercepted by unwanted parties.
As a general rule, refrain from disclosing any sensitive personal information over email. We may not respond to lengthy emails of a personal nature.
