Becca Edwards-Powell

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who treats adults with severe emotional dysregulation, personality disorders, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. I also work with children and families who have experienced trauma.

I graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2008 with a Master in Social Work. I have worked in the triangle area for ten years providing mental health services to various populations and have extensive training in multiple cognitive and behavioral approaches. I am a Nationally Certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Clinician through the Linehan Board of Certification. In addition, I am a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT).

I believe effective therapy begins with a collaborative, non-judgmental relationship. I work with individuals to develop goals, identify barriers, and provide a supportive environment for healing and change. I believe therapy is an opportunity to reach our greatest potential by achieving a balance of acceptance and change through evidenced-based practice.
