Dr. Cheltenham

I am a board certified adult psychiatrist who treats adults with depression, dementia, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, attention deficit, anxiety, addiction, and other mental health problems.

I completed my psychiatry training in Washington, D.C at Howard University Hospital where in my final year, I served as Chief Resident. Over the past ten years, I have practiced psychiatry in a wide range of settings including private hospitals, outpatient clinics, homeless shelters, prisons, and youth development centers. I have been privileged to work with patients from all walks of life and various socioeconomic levels. My training has prepared me to provide accurate clinical diagnoses with evidenced based treatments including pharmacotherapy (medication), cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, and psychoeducation.

I chose psychiatry as my field of specialty because I sincerely enjoy getting to know people and their families. I work with and for my patients to empower them to understand their diagnosis, reach their treatment goals, and live life more fully.
