Jessica K. Hairston, MD, FAPA

Infant, Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist

As a psychiatrist, one of my true pleasures is supporting people in their journey to reclaim their personal power and sense of self.  I believe that a person can experience full relief from suffering and experience happiness when the needs of the body, mind, and soul are met.  I invite people to really care for themselves, embrace their true value, and live their best life possible.

I am a North Carolina native and have made NC my home.  I have trained for the last 21 years in psychotherapy, life coaching, Satir Family Therapy, mantra meditation, and Non-Violent Communication. I specialize in working with trauma survivors, people with mood and anxiety disorders, and adults and children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Through the judicious use of medicine, my goal is to help my clients optimize their lives and achieve their goals.

I encourage families to make small holistic lifestyle changes and to approach each other with greater empathy to create balance and synergy in their lives. I offer workshops and I use a variety of tools and supplemental therapies such as yoga, exercise, nutrition, essential oils, and empathy training.  As a client, I will work with you to make beneficial life changes and to reach a personally more satisfying place in your life.
